So, Flash MX has some new pretty cool features for drawing shapes. So, I thought, why not try the make a minimal SVG viewer using these functions. My first aim is to draw this piece from the SVG Conformance suite. Here is the result after an hour of Flash coding. Flash reads the SVG file (a local copy) and render it in real-time.
Not exactly perfect but I’m getting there :-)

People is worrying about AOL switching to Gecko. I don’t think they should be, let’s get smart when building webpages again.
W3C has release the Last Call for the DOM 3 XPath Spec. It is the MSXML selectSingleNode and selectNodes more powerful big brother.
Antoine has a new column on SVG up at xml.com. This time he uses the basic idea in my OPML -> SVG script.
There has, of course, been a lot of discussion about Rotor, the code released by Microsoft. It mostly deals with the fact that they uses the word “patents” in the licens.The Mono people simply wont look at the code since that might make them subject to patent infringement.

Microsoft has released to source code for the .NET runtime (well, not the commercial, but close enough) and the C# compiler and some other stuff.
Made a few changes to how the behind-the-scenes blogging works for at protocol7. So now I could add permalinks for each blog, not just for each day. You will find a # after each blog, just click it and your off.
