Bad, bad blogger

I’ve been really bad at blogging lately. Tons of daytime work has made my time for blogging very limited. But, I hope to be better at combining the two in the future because there are lots of interesting things going on :-)

Sam Ruby has started the work to get people to finally agree on one weblog format. Juding from the infected debates on RSS 1.0 vs. RSS 2.0 the last year or so this is much needed. Lots of people has stated their support for his work, could this finally be a success?

Webloggers unite, at last.

Dare misses checked exceptions in C#. This is the thing I miss most from Java when doing C# work. And juding from the chat on the future directions of C#, this won’t be in the language for a long time, if ever. Too bad really.

The moaning on the crappy (X)HTML that the ASP.NET controls spit out is finally getting some much needed attention.

I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for Microsoft to ship better workin controls, they got a lously record when it comes to producing anything that conforms to (X)HTML. Let’s start a open source project that aims to deliver this instead. I’m in, any others?

Phil Scott is thinking about writing a wrapper around both IE and Mozilla. Please do! It’s a great idea and it would be wonderful if we could easily choose between our favorite browser in all programs that embed browsers (like SharpVectors, SharpMT and RssBandit).
